Matmos make experimental electronic pop music out of synthesizers and sampled objects. Founded in San Francisco and now based in Baltimore, they have performed with Terry Riley, Antony and the Johnsons, the Kronos Quartet and Bjork, and have remixed the Melvins and Otomo Yoshihide. Expect improvisation, Chopin, and spacey minimal synth freakouts.
