The Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (Poland) organizes the second edition of the competition dedicated to books designed for children.
The competition is addressed to students and graduates (years 2007-2009) of arts and design schools of University level in Poland and abroad.
The aim of the competition is to present illustration which shows the artist’s understanding of the needs of the young reader and to demonstrate a grasp of the fundamental elements of book design in the publishing market. The aim of the competition is also to promote young artists to the publishing market. The international character of the competition will allow the organizers and participants to compare the level and the methods of teaching in this field in European schools.
